What went Right?

Hello All,
Since Leather Fiesta there has not been  a lot of talk  about what good happened there.
Every event has good and fun.

As  a person  that has organized events, I know how it can  feel  when  something that I put on  goes wrong.
So  what I would like to  invite you to  do is to  put out there what went right for you-

What did you enjoy at Fiesta?
What did you laugh over?

Here is my list:

Sir B's performance- done with such joy!
Carmella
The laughter and camaraderie in the vendor room
BUFFET!!!!
The women's dungeon!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!
I wanted to go to classes!
My Love on stage!
Being a judge!

  1. ~ Diane and Michael gifted me the trip to NM
~ Brian and Sally were hands down, wonderful
~ I was able to photograph over 12 long-time Leather Community members. (That alone is a blessing) - reconnect with a Leatherwoman I knew over 20 years ago.
~ Documenting Leather History is hard, expensive, takes a lot of energy, patience and coordination. Every single person I was able to photograph at the event was kind, welcoming, open, funny, and genuine, no pretentious egos, no attitude, or hostility. Totally positive, relaxed time photographing for 4 days in a row.
~ Spent time w my partners bio-family & leather family.
~ Gift bag filled w amazing goodies by Eve. When someone gives so many of their homemade products as gifts, that is priceless. I also bought a "Butches are Beautiful" soap from her.
~ Found a TRANSGENDER COLORING BOOK by Darla Hallmark
~ Got to photograph my first Leather Bear Dyke!
~ Tyler McCormick gifted one of his IML pins.
~ My Laptop broke, telling the story in a ride from MAC store w broken laptop, the LYFT driver, handed me his laptop to use for the weekend for my presentation. (I DID NOT KNOW THIS MAN AND it's a $1,500 iPad!!!) unbelievable...
~ Sheraton staff were incredibly nice and went above and beyond for me
~ Gifted a vintage leather top from Amber
~ About 30 people got to see my film and 15 came to my lecture
~ The Sheraton let me use one of the conference rooms to photograph people, without charging any of us, until 8pm on Sunday
~ Someone bought me a Leather Fiesta t-shirt
~ Got a Dragon Coloring book from Darla Hallmark
~ Sat next to a Hopi Indian Elder on the plane to NM
    ~ Discussion on understanding “Littles"
~ Asked a woman sitting alone to have lunch with us. She was super cool, came to my lecture, and knows an amazing woman that I want to include in my documentary (the world is so small).
~ Watched my partner feel relaxed, happy, connected with her Leather Community and feel "at home"
~ Met my partners mother for the first time.

and... Thank you for being you, and sharing that with me and my camera!!
